What is a Garden?



A garden is a planned space, usually outdoors adjoining our houses used for growing flowers, fruits, vegetables and other plants. We provide caring to our plants, like removing the weeds, watering the plants and adding manure to the soil. Besides, the garden can incorporate both natural and man-made materials for landscaping to enhance its ornamental value. There are several types of gardens few of which are mentioned below:
                


Woodland Gardens
Woodland gardens are for nature lovers for a more carefree and relaxed feeling. It is low maintenance landscaping idea where native plants or others having similar traits, are grown that require less caring. Shade plants can be grown in shady areas of the garden. Various kinds of wild flowers make it attractive and colorful.

Tropical Gardens
The tropical garden is not much different from other gardens except that it features tropical plants and requires good rainfall. Basically, it has same basic needs like healthy soil and proper fertilization.

Water Gardens
A water garden can be as simple or as complex as one may want it to be. It can include fountains, waterfalls, and small water ponds with elaborate combinations of rockwork and lighting. Basically, a water garden is just a pool of water that is home to plants and possibly fish and other water creatures.

Japanese Gardens
Art works are an important part of Japanese culture and Japanese garden always abounds with different art forms. The Japanese garden is mostly designed according to nature and combines basic elements like plants, water, and rocks.

Environmental Gardens
Environmental gardens emerge from our passion to save environment to save native species bio-diverse ecosystem. It uses sustainably soured materials. These specialty gardens can range from xeriscape gardens to rain gardens and wildlife gardens. Creating environment gardens is a major step towards reducing our carbon footprint.  

Cutting Gardens
A cutting garden grows more colorful flowers for the pleasure of having fresh bouquets to decorate their homes and also to give away to friends. Annuals are generally the favored cutting flowers as they tend to repeat bloom and grow quickly. People who grow flowers are essentially the ones who enjoy the colorful display in the landscape.
